ACCOMMODATION ON BOARD THE MOTORAIL

Accommodation varies from comfortable private sleepers with your own washing facilities to bargain berths in shared accommodation. On board the MotoRail , you can choose your own level of travel comfort: single seats in a 5/6 or 4-berth compartment, a private couchette compartment for 4 or 5/6 persons, or the comfort of a sleeper compartment for one, two or three guests. All compartments are equipped with luggage racks, reading lights and secure locks from the inside. During the day you have comfortable seating, overnight on sofa beds with sheets, blankets and a pillow or even beds with duvet and pillow if sleepers is chosen.

5/6-BERTH COMPARTMENT

Looking to travel undisturbed, accompanied by your family? Then book a 5/6-berth compartment. Designed to accommodate a maximum of five or six people, the compartments are furnished with 3 seats, on both sides, which can easily be turned into berths with a sheet, blanket and pillow. Once night times falls, your steward will be happy to show you how to make up the beds. Single-seat bookings, individual berths in shared 6-berth compartments can be made. You may also book the 6-berth compartment for sole accupancy. Shared washing and toilet facilities are provided at the end of each carriage. 

4-BERTH COMPARTMENT

Our four-berth compartments are the ideal option for families and groups of up to four people. Each compartment is equipped with climate control, with two comfortable seats on either side. For the night, the 4 seats convert to 4 comfortable beds, 2 uppers, 2 lowers with mattress, sheet, blanket and pillow. Single-seat bookings are taken for the 4-berth compartment. You may also book the 4-berth compartment as a private compartment. Shared washing and toilet facilities are provided at the end of each carriage.

SLEEPER COMPARTMENT (MAXIMUM 3 PEOPLE)

Our sleeper compartments offert the most comfortable way to travel by MotoRail. You will have your own wash basin, reading lights, climate control, a comfortable Bed with comfy mattress and a duvet with pillow. The sleeper compartment is only available as a private compartment for a maximum of 3 people. The beds are located one above the other.

WASHING AND TOILET FACILITIES

Shared washing and toilet facilities with cold and warm water are provided at the end of each carriage (maximum 10 compartments). Sleeper compartment for maximum 3 guests have their own wash basin with warm and cold water. 

THE RESTAURANT AND OUR MENU 2012

The MotoRail features a fully equipped restaurant car where our cooks prepare a 3 course meal with a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian. Enjoy a glass of wine and a fantastic view, as you journey to South or homeward. For an upgrade fee your compartment meal can be uppgraded to this dinner at the restaurant car. For children there is a children's menu (see price table). There are two sittings but places are limited, so book early!

Our 2012 Restaurant 3-course a la carte menu:

Starter: Salmon with chive cream or Tuscan Salad with smoked chicken, paprika, dried tomatoes, green olives and balsamic dressing or Tomato and Mozarella skewer with a pipette of pesto on a bed of lettuce.

Main course: Crispy-skin Cod served in creamy remoulade sauce, or Pork Tenderloin served in Mushroom sauce or Vegetarian Quiche with Brie and Sweet Pepper.
All dishes are served with Potato gratin and vegetable garniture.

Dessert: Grand Dessert

 

Children’s menu: Meat Salad, Granny’s meatballs with peanut sauce, potatoes, vegetables, apple sauce and mayonnaise.

Special kids’ dessert: Cup with strawberries bavarois
